Grand Birthday Plans

IT’S MY BIRTHDAY.

I’VE BEEN CELEBRATING ALL WEEK.

Now that it’s the actual day, do I have plans?

YOU BET I DO.

This week, I shall:

Eat brunch

I don’t know when brunch became sacred in my family, but it is now considered a holy rite.

Brunch is the only time I can fully appreciate carb-heavy breakfast food.

And coffee. Oh, the coffee we shall have!

Watch Rogue One

I gifted myself a rewatch of the entire Star Wars saga (except Solo) because I’ve been FEELING SO BUMMED ABOUT TROS.

I just finished the prequels (which weren’t as bad as I remembered) and am preparing myself for the devastation that is Rogue One.

After that, on to the Original Trilogy.

Hang out with my mom

We’ll probably get cupcakes and shop for books.

Maybe she’ll want to watch Rogue One!

Stay warm

I live in an absurdly mild climate, where winter temperatures rarely drop above or below 40 degrees.

This month, we’ve had snow and WIND CHILL.

WIND CHILL, Y’ALL.

Double layers it is!

Go to the movies

I made a bunch of plans in quick succession! It’s all a blur!

Thursday: see the English dub of Weathering with You with my friends. (This will be my first anime film in several years.)

Friday: finally witness France’s remake of Les Miserables with friends. (I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOVIE FOR AGES.)

Saturday: catch Little Women with my mom. (I am going to CRY.)

Cook dinner

I almost never cook, especially since I moved.

I am TRYING to make more frequent use of the shared kitchen (and stop ordering pizza as often.)

I shall steel myself to make enchiladas and couscous before the week ends.

IT’S THE CHOPPING THAT I HATE.

SO MUCH CHOPPING.

Make progress in The Ninth House

No, I never predicted that I would buy Leigh Bardugo’s grimdark adult fantasy and ACTUALLY ENJOY IT.

Life is strange.

Enjoy myself

This is my favorite time of year.

I’m going to milk it as long as I can.

Go forth and conquer, fellow Capricorns!

It’s going to be a glorious day!

    1. THANK YOU!!! I am not prepared for what Little Women will bring. It sounds like a tearjerker for sure!
Thanks again for the birthday wishes! The day itself was nice and things are continuing to look up!

      1. JENNA IT WAS SO SAD I CRIED SO MUCH. The acting is excellent, the sister interactions are very believable, and I thought Greta Gerwig handled the ending really well. So…I recommend it, but I KEPT CRYING.
