‘TIS THE SEASON FOR HOLIDAY-THEMED TAGS!
I am waiting on a few more Christmas gifts to arrive.
One of them should get here by the family party.
The others…well.
I’m really not sure.
Anyway, ’tis the season to snag book tags from great blogs like Kristin Kraves Books.
Happy holidays.
Do you have a favorite wintry read?
I used to flip through a copy of The Snowman every time I visited my grandma’s house.
I also really like Robert Munsch’s 50 Below Zero, which was made into an animated film that I watched in second grade.
Find a book with blue on the cover.
This title is a bummer, but the cover is wintry.
Say hello to the Disappearing Earth.
Find a book that you’d use as a star on the Christmas tree.
Empire of Gold is one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever seen.
The green and gold would bring the whole room together.
Pick one fictional place that would be perfect for a winter holiday.
Unfortunately, as perfect as Narnia seems, it’s always winter there.
Always winter, never Christmas.
Think of that.
If you’re looking for cheerful holiday vibes, there’s no better place than the lovely Overlook Hotel!
You won’t want to leave!
Pick one fictional character you’d take with you on your holiday.
I like to step back and let someone else worry about deadlines, transportation, and timing.
Declan Lynch would keep me on track.
I’m either in love with Declan or I want to be his best friend.
Or both.
He’s such a snappy dresser.
We could build an empire together.
Name one book on your wish list this year.
I found this amazing graphic novel called Bloodlust and Bonnets about a debutante-led vampire cabal.
I want this. I want this so much.
Favorite holiday drink, treat, and movie.
I love a white chocolate peppermint mocha.
It tastes like a special treat.
If I want to sleep at night, I skip the coffee and make it a hot chocolate instead.
Cook’s Illustrated developed an A M A Z I N G sugar cookie recipe that I still use TO THIS DAY. (The secret ingredient is brown sugar.)
(Of course, I can’t find the recipe anywhere online and I lost my cookbook.)
When the holidays roll in, I start craving sugar cookies.
They’re the BEST, I tell you! The BEST!
Now to movies:
For me, it’s not Christmas until I watch Elf.
It’s been my favorite Christmas movie since it came out in 2003.
Some years I don’t have time to watch it and feel off the entire month of December.
Happy Christmas, Harry.
Happy Christmas, Ron.
I have trillions more of these tags.
Just you wait.
