I Should Have Read That Book Tag

I’m not making much progress on the books I already own.

MY LOCAL LIBRARY IS WALL-TO-WALL NEW BOOKS, OKAY?

Meghan tagged me in this and there are PLENTY of books I should have read by now.

Let me name a few.

A book that a certain friend is always telling you to read

My friend Russell keeps telling me to read Fence and Check, Please!

Both series sound really cute, so reading them sounds good to me.

A book that’s been on your TBR forever and yet you still haven’t read it

RenegadesHeart of Iron, and Watch Us Rise sit on my bookshelf and mock me.

I WOULD LIKE TO READ THESE BOOKS.

I HAVE NOT YET.

I’VE BEEN BUSY.

A book in a series you’ve started, but haven’t gotten around to finishing

I bought each of the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal Editions as soon as they came out…except for volume 5.

PGSM 5

I don’t know why. I’ve been putting it off.

And…I’ve just learned there are now up to 8 Eternal Editions.

This answers some questions I had about the series.

A classic you’ve always liked the sound of, but have never actually read

I’ve tried reading Wuthering Heights several times.

Wuthering Heights

I can’t do it.

HOW do people reread this once a year?

I would like to cross this book off my bucket list.

A popular book that it seems everyone but you has read

HOW have you ALL read Harley in the Sky?

Harley in the Sky

It JUST came out!!

Also, I’ve seen a lot of comparisons to The Greatest Showman.

To me, that bodes ill.

A book that inspired a film/TV adaptation that you really love, but just haven’t picked up yet

A Discovery of Witches looks kind of like something I’d be into.

Discovery of Witches

It’s hard to say.

I get strong Sookie Stackhouse + David Mitchell vibes.

A book you see all over Instagram but haven’t picked up yet

FINE, I’ll read Black Leopard, Red Wolf. I’ll do it.

Black Leopard Red Wolf

You all talked me into it.

    1. Haha yeeess. That’s so encouraging! It’s my uncle’s favorite novel (I think) and he HATED Jane Eyre, so I want to cross of one of the Great Novels AND see what he likes about it.

  1. I feel you on Wuthering Heights. I had to read it in school, and I did… but reluctantly… I just don’t understand the loooove that everyone seems to have for it. I agree though, the idea of loving it is appealing for some reason 😅

    1. People really love it! It’s so weird to me!
There’s something romantic about being a Wuthering Heights fan. I would like to curl up with the book on a rainy day, too! I can’t help being a Jane Eyre gal!

  2. Thank you SO much, for the tag, Lauren!! ❤️ I did this a couple of years ago, but I really want to do it again and see how it goes! 😍
I need to watch A Discovery of Witches, I saw the trailer and I think it looks great, but maybe I read the book before, because otherwise if I watch the series before I end up never picking up the book 😅

  3. HAHAHA we were literally discussing Wuthering Heights at my last bookclub meeting, and I was the only one who had actually read the book – everyone else had been ‘meaning to’ read it but never actually got around to it! 😂 Also, I have been DYING to get my hands on the Eternal Editions of the Sailor Moon comics but my bank account screams every time I get near them!

Can’t wait to do this tag 😛

    1. It’s definitely one of those books people know about but never read! (At least, not anymore? I feel like a generation before, a lot more people read it.)
WHY ARE THEY SO EXPENSIVE AND SO PRETTY?? Whenever I get my second paycheck of the month, I still balk at buying them because it’s TOO MUCH.
Can’t wait to see your answers!
