The best solution in a time of crisis is a personality quiz.
This tag, pulled from the blog Fiction No Chaser, involves quizzes.
Jess was nice enough to include rules and I loved her answers, so here we are.
- Take all the quizzes down below and record your answers somehow. I decided to just copy the text from each quiz and paste it into my post, but screenshots work too! Whatever floats your goat (Yes goat. I SAID WHAT I SAID).
- NO CHEATING. You get one shot to take each quiz my friends. I’m watching you. ∗Suspicious squinty eyes∗
- Use this post to give credit to the creator Loretta @ The Laughing Listener or tag me on twitter @LaughnListener so I can see everyone’s answers!!
- Tag some friends to spread the fun!
Result: You are Evangeline!
She may not have a crown on her head (yet?), but Evangeline is already our Queen! She’s fierce. Unstoppable. Cunning. Sassy. She has mastered the unique talent of complimenting and insulting someone all in the same sentence. We could go on and on, but basically we bow down to your greatness!
I don’t think I got far enough in the first book to know who Evangeline is? I like the sound of cunning and sass. Sounds like she’s great at reading people. In. To. It.
Result: Jem Carstairs + Alec Lightwood
You’re selfless yet guarded, protective and romantic. You value those around you more than yourself, and sometimes you need to be reminded to take a moment for yourself! You’re the friend that everyone loves to have around, even if you doubt it sometimes.
I don’t like how accurate that was. I can safely agree with everything except ‘selfless.’ It feels prideful to agree with that. (Religious upbringing.)
And, yes, I am the insecure life of the party, thank YOU.
Result: Dorian + Nesryn
Shockingly, you’re an overwhelmingly sarcastic bookworm! You try to look on the brighter side of things, but your snarky sense of humor hides depths of concern. You’re probably the most responsible of your friends, as they know they can always count on you.
Surprisingly accurate, but for the fact that I hate Dorian and am far from an optimist.
I express concern through snark, yes, and I am EASILY the MOST responsible. Friends are always telling me, “You showed up…like you promised you would? Who DOES that?”
Depression made me flakier. Or less rigid. One of the two? Both?
Don’t let people underestimate you, you know how to handle yourself and more capable than people give you credit for. You’re sweet and loyal but are happy for others to lead. And you’ll certainly leave a lasting impression on everyone’s minds that you meet.
WHY ARE THESE SO ACCURATE??
I am rather memorable, often underestimated, and hate being in charge.
Result: Neville Longbottom
You’re awkward and clumsy and hate being the center of attention. But you’re brave and big-hearted and people can always trust you to help them out in a bad situation.
I’d like to think I got this result because both Neville and I got HOTTER OVER TIME.
The rest is nonsense. I LOVE being the center of attention.
Clumsy…sure. I bump into walls all the time.
And I’m not exactly smooth.
Well, not true. I’m smooth sometimes? My charm is frustratingly inconsistent.
Result: Mor, the Morrigan
Bold and beautiful, you enchant everyone around you. You fear losing your independence, so much so that you may be blind to the devotion and love you inspire in your closest friends. Keep your eyes and heart open, and you may find someone ready to love every wild, untamed, brutal piece of your body and soul.
I never read these books, so I don’t know who this iiiiiiiiiiis.
I mean…second sentence is accurate. It’s the ‘xiety.
And I love the description of “wild, untamed, [and] brutal.”
Sure, I’ll take it.
Result: Adam Parrish
You’ve had a rough life, and are determined to make it better on your own terms. You are driven by your own free will, and sometimes lose sight of the big picture with your fixation on change. However, you are one of the strongest people ever, and no matter what the change brings, you will endure.
I LOVE Adam.
We don’t delve much into Ronan’s inner world until the second book, but readers simmer in Adam’s rage and resentment from book one on.
I really relate to resentful perfectionism, as well as the ping-ponging between, “ACCEPT ME,” and, “STOP TRYING TO HELP ME.”
I love a defensive character. “YOU’RE NOT BETTER THAN ME. STOP BUYING ME LOTION.”
I accept this description.
Result: Jacob Black
Excuse me, yes, you, with the abs of steel? HELLO. Yes, you’re nice to look at, but you’re even nicer to talk to. Your loyalty knows no limits; your heart, ever expanding. Sure, sometimes you don’t like to take no for an answer, but that just means you’re determined! And hey, it worked out fine in the end, right? *cough cough* Renésmee *cough cough*
Well, abs of steel, NO.
Apparently I “still” look beautiful even with my head shaved! (Thanks, random catcallers!)
And I get all sorts of positive feedback about my conversational skills.
MY HEART IS EVER EXPANDING.
WATCH ME WELCOME MORE DOGS AND BABIES INTO MY LIFE. (Heh. Dogs.)
….all right, I hate being told what to do…but I’m LOYAL.
Oh no, I JUST got to the last sentence.
I HAVE NEVER FALLEN IN LOVE WITH A BABY BEFORE!
People naturally gravitate toward you. Although you may seem ambivalent on the outside, we know you care deep down. Deep, deep, deep, deep, deep down.
That’s about right.
However, half the fandom says Cardan is SoO hAwT and the other half says he’s controlling and gross.
Scarlet lives on a farm in France with her grandmother. She has curly red hair and lots of freckles and is mostly seen wearing jeans and a red sweatshirt. She is frank and abrupt, with a tendency to act first and think later. She is cautious of newcomers and takes a while to warm up to them and trust them.
Demographically, I fit none of these descriptions…except the clothes one.
Even then, I don’t wear red. Ever.
The rest of it is shockingly accurate.
I had my doubts when I got Scarlet, but it is real.
- Frank and abrupt: READ THIS BLOG and you shall see
- Tendency to act first and think later: really depends. I am quite impatient and I hate to discuss things for too long.
- Cautious of newcomers: I am convinced any and every newcomer to my environment is a spy.
- Takes a while to warm up and trust people: HAHAHAHA yes. Trust must be earned. I expect the very worst until proved otherwise.
This is super gratifying because Scarlet is my favorite character.
That was a few quizzes.
I will proudly call myself an Adam-Scarlet-Jem combo.
The rest is…whatever.
