Ouran Host Club Book Tag

Hello, friends!

I started [online] school this week and it’s going well so far! The readings are both very boring and really fascinating.

My brain is (still) soup, so more book tags!

Jessica @ The Awkward Book Blogger did this Ouran Host Club-inspired tag. I LOVE this show. Is the dub back on Netflix? IT SHOULD BE.

Mori is my forever favorite. Kyoya, not so much.

The Rules

1. Thank the person who tagged you!
2. ALWAYS PINGBACK TO CREATOR (icebreaker694) she wants to see your post.
3. Answer all the questions below! (You don’t have to watch the show to answer them.)
4. Tag 8+ bloggers!

Theme Song – A Misleading Character

Other characters consider the fox in Winterkeep a creepy tattletale.

We then get the fox’s POV and learn his motivations are…complicated.

Haruhi – A Character Every Other Character Loves

I won’t spoil which character in Bunny fits this description.

Bunny: A Novel by Mona Awad, Author of 13 Ways of Looking at a Fat Girl

Let’s say this book challenged my love for bad boys.

Tamaki – A Character Who Started a Movement

Kiera created a space for Black gamers across the diaspora and NO ONE KNOWS SHE DID IT.

Slay by Brittney Morris

I can’t get over that she developed a massive VR game by herself and kept it a SECRET. The TALENT.

Kyoya – A Character with Parental Issues

Nishat comes out to her parents in the first chapter of The Henna Wars.

The Henna Wars by Adiba Jaigirdar

Her parents believe she’ll grow out of it.

Then Nishat falls for a girl she meets at a family wedding.

Kaoru & Hikaru – Brotherly Love

I had two other acceptable answers for this prompt, but I chose the one that made me laugh the most.

The Tiger’s Curse involves two brothers who keep falling for the same girl.

Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck

Also, they’ve been cursed to turn into tigers whenever the plot demands.

Mori – A Character Who is Scary on the Outside, But a Bundle of Fluff on the Inside

The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet introduced grumpy algaeist Corbin.

The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers

Because I LOVE grumps, I knew from the start he would be my favorite.

Though it took him more than 300 pages, Corbin proved to be (kind of) nice, actually.

Honey – A Character Who Likes to Eat

Vanessa Yu spends most of her time in France eating delicious food.

While her love interest is questionable, he does take her to some excellent restaurants.

Renge – A Tag-Along Character

Tagalongs are my favorite Girl Scout cookie, in case you were wondering.

My beloved Gemma returns for This Coven Won’t Break.

This Coven Won't Break: The Sequel to These Witches Don't Burn by Isabel Sterling

Unfortunately, she doesn’t really do much.

Neither does Morgan, my other favorite character.

Their roles in book one are given to Alice and Cal.

Nekozawa – A Character Who Likes the Dark Side

The ladies of the Southern Book Club love reading trashy true crime novels.

New York Times Best Seller The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires: A Novel by Grady Hendrix

They also love bad boys with “sun allergies.”

At least, they start out loving these things.

I’ve got more schoolwork to do tonight.

I’m commissioning new graphics for the blog, so that’s fun.

Expect more book tags, probably.
