It was so FREAKING good.

I can’t stop talking about this book.

I hosted my first improv show in late 2019 and it went way better than I expected.

I would MUCH rather host than muddle my way through a long-form show.

Hosting combines my need for control with my love of performance.

I changed my clothes between acts because I am a charming nut.

I hated Helen Burns in the original Jane Eyre.

My Plain Jane made her not just tolerable, but funny.

We all need a sassy ghost friend like Helen.

 

7 Rings || New Books Friends

Well, shoot.

I’ve connected with a lot of people in the blogging community over the last year.

(I even found out that one of them is local? That was a surprise.)

I also made friends during NaNoWriMo and joined a bi-monthly writing group.

It’s nice to have a friend.

Kill This Love || First Book in 2020

Magic for Liars was both my final book of 2019 and my first book of 2020, as I read the final pages after midnight on January 1st.

I loved this book. I would recommend it to anyone who loves a slow-burn mystery about identity and sisterhood.
